Day 1 : TASHKENT

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Tashkent by Uzbekistan Airlines.

Day 2 : TASHKENT

Arrival at Tashkent. Accommodation at the hotel. Rest and lunch. In the afternoon, city tour of the ancient part of the capital. Nowadays, Tashkent is a big cultural and scientific centre. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : TASHKENT- URGUENCH- KHIVA

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Urguench. Arrival at Urguench and transfer to Khiva (30km). An amazing city in the blue faience, hidden in the desert Kizilkum (red sands), on the bank of the Amu Darya river (the unrestrained river), Khiva offers unappeasable travelers the architecture different from that of other Uzbek cities, with her 52 historical monuments. City tour of the inner part of Khiva - Itchan Kala. Lunch during visits. Dinner at summer palace of Khiva last khan – Toza Bog. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 : KHIVA – DASHAGHUZ – KUNYA URGUENCH – DASHAGHUZ – ASHGHABAT

Drive to Dashoguz border (Shavat). Cross the border. Drive to Kunya-Urgench to visit the monuments of medieval Kunya-Urgench (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the former capital of the medieval Khorezmshah Empire. Visit the 14 century mausoleum of Turabek Hanum, one of the best living examples of the architecture of its period; minaret of Kutlug Timur, a former highest minaret of Central Asia that used to form a part of the main cathedral mosque of the city; mausoleum of Sultan Tekesh, a beautiful 12 century mausoleum with one of the earliest portals of the east and a unique cone of a dome; Lunch during the visits. Back to Dashoguz for an evening flight to Ashgabat. Arrival at Ashgabat and accommodation at the hotel. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 : ASHGHABAT – NISSA – ASHGHABAT

Full-day of sightseeing in Ashgabat : the fortress of Old Nisa (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the earliest of Parthian Empire capitals. Located at the foot of the Kopet-Dag Mountains, Old Nisa is a beautiful landmark. From Old Nisa we return to Ashgabat, en-route stop at Kipchak village (10 km outside Ashgabat) to see an impressive complex of the biggest mosque in Turkmenistan and the family mausoleum of the first President ; the Monument and Park of Independence (looking like a white-marble “Eiffel Tower” standing in a beautiful park) and a fountain-monument devoted to the 10th anniversary of independence ; impressive Ertoghrul Ghazi mosque. Lunch during the visits. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 : ASHGHABAT – MARY – MERV – MARY

In the morning, transfer to airport for flight to Mary. Arrival and depart to Ancient Merv (UNSCO World Heritage Site). One of the major archaeological sites of Central Asia, Merv played an important part in the development of the Silk Road for more than 2 000 years. A series of adjacent cities, which can be roughly divided into the ancient (Erk Kala and Gyaur Kala), the medieval (Sultan Kala with its suburbs), and post-medieval (Abdulla-Khan Kala and Bayram-Ali-Khan Kala), appeared in the course of time as a token of the natural progress of the city from initial stages of its existence to a more advanced level. Besides remnants of the cities of Merv, we will visit the VI-IX cc. AD forts of Big and Little Kyz-Kalas; the splendid XII c. mausoleums of Sultan Sanjar and Muhammed ibn-Zeyd, demonstrating exquisite Seljuk period brickwork and architectural décor. After sightseeing, back to Mary. Accommodation at the hotel. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 : MARY – (FARAB) BUKHARA

In the morning route to the turkmen-uzbek border, cross the border. Arrival at Bukhara, a holy city of Central Asia. Accommodation at the hotel. Lunch. First visits in Bukhara. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 : DAY 8 – 9 BUKHARA

Two days of sightseeing tour of Bukhara, the monastery-city, the place of education and pilgrimage. Among the visits of this day: Lyabi Khauz Place – one of the most famous places of Bukhara; the splendid Poi-Kalyan place, with its Kalyan minaret, the main symbol of Bukhara, serving in former times as a lighthouse for caravanneers; Ismail Samani mausoleum – the oldest building in the Central Asia, the pearl of the world architecture and many other ancient monuments keeping the secrets of the past. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 : BUKHARA-NURATA-AYDARKUL

Depart to Nurata, that situated at the border of two worlds nomadic and settled, chiefly populated by Kazaks, who have preserved their tradition nomadic life. On arrival visit the mosque and its pool with sacred fishes, which local people consider as the spirit of their ancestors. Depart to Aydarkul Lake to the Yurts (camping). Camel riding in surroundings. Dinner around the fire, accompanied by singing of the akyn (troubadour). Overnight in yurt.

Day 10 : AYDARKUL – SAMARKAND

Depart to Samarkand (230 km), city situated on the crossroads of caravan ways. Accommodation at the hotel. First visits: Gur-Emir mausoleum – the burial place of the Great Amir Temur and his dynasty (XIV-XV c.); Registan square – the heart of Samarkand with its three madrassahs – representatives of the great past of this city.Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 : SAMARKAND

Whole day of sightseeing: Bibi-Khanim mosque,its blue dome competes with the firmament; Shakhi-Zinda necropolis appears as the necklace of masterpieces, spreading by the sparkling train on the slopes of ancient Afrosiab; Siyab local bazaar – taste the best breads and fruits of Samarkand. Visit other majestic monuments of Samarkand. Lunch during the visits. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 : SAMARKAND-SHAKHRISSABZ- SAMARKAND

Drive to Shakhrisabz (150 km). Sightseeing tour of Shakhrisabz, place famous thanks to Amir Temur, who was born in the neighboring village. Visit the summer residence of Great Timur - Ak-Saray Palace and other monument of this green city. Back to Samarkand. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 : SAMARKAND- TASHKENT

Continuation of the visits in Samarkand. Lunch and depart to Tashkent (350 km) via Bakhmal village, discover cotton honey. Arrival at Tashkent. Accommodation at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 14 : TASHKENT

Visit Tashkent underground. Each station is decorated in Art Deco, which makes each station a real masterpiece like the Moscow underground. Transfer to the airport for the international flight to London.
