Enjoy your breakfast and move to Diu. DIU is a coastal town at the eastern end of Diu Island, India. A bridge connects the island to the state of Gujarat. Overlooking the Arabian Sea, Diu Fort, a 16th-century Portuguese citadel, features a lighthouse and cannons. Inland, centuries-old St. Paul’s Church was built in elaborate baroque style. Nearby, whitewashed St. Thomas Church is now home to the Diu Museum, with wooden carvings and religious artifacts. Visit Nagoa Beach - Nagoá Beach is sandy coastline of the village of Nagoá in Diu district. The town's main industry is tourism, and it has 21 km in length. The population is 14,000 but about 40,000 tourists enter the town during peak seasons. Fort of Diu -- It was constructed between 1535 and 1541 AD after a defence alliance, concluded by the Bahadurshah, Sultan of Gujarat, and the Portuguese when the former was attacked by Humayun, the Mughal Emperor. The fort is skirted by the sea on the three sides. On the Fort stands a giant structure now housing a Lighthouse. Diu Church -- It is the largest and the only functioning church in Diu catering to the small Christian community of about 450 Christians who remain after the Diu territory. Visit Naida Caves -- The Naida Caves are not far from Diu Town, and there are autos that run to this location. The Diu Fort is about 3 kilometres away. After disembarking from the Delwada Railway station, visitors can simply reach the destination by road.
