Leh-PANGONG- KHARDONGLA PASS-NUBRA VALLEY-Tso Moriri

Day 1 : ARRIVE LEH

On arrival at Leh airport, transfer to the hotel enroute take Inner line permit and transfer to hotel. Check-in in the hotel and rest for to get acclimatize with the high altitude in Leh (Ladakh) which is 3500 Mtrs above sea level. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2 : LEH SIGHTSEEING (VISIT SHEY + THIKSE + HEMIS MONASTERIES)

After early breakfast full day sightseeing of Shey, Thiksey & Hemis. Shey: was founded as the summer capital of Ladakh (then called Maryul), by the king Lhachen Palgyigon in the 10th century, with Leh being winter capital. It was gradually eclipsed by Leh around the 17th century after the growth of Central Asian trade. It contains a huge Shakyamuni Buddha statue (36Ft. high statue of Buddha made of copper and covered with gold.) It is the second largest Buddha statue in Ladakh. Thiksey : Thiksey Monastery or Thiksey Gompa is a Buddhist monastery affiliated with the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. It is located on top of a hill in Thiksey. Hemis : Hemis Monastery is a Himalayan Buddhist monastery (gompa) of the Drukpa Lineage, in Hemis on the bank of Indus river, Ladakh, India. Evening return to Leh and overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 : LEH - NUBRA VALLEY

After breakfast transfer to Nubra. ON arrival at Nubra, explore Deskit, Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari (by your own) using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Overnight stay at Nubra Velly

Day 4 : NUBRA-PANGONG LAKE

After breakfast transfer to the Pangong Lake (located on the Indo-China Border), enroute crossing the Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft.). After sightseeing around the lake, drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight stay Pangong.

Day 5 : PANGONG TSO - TSO MORIRI

After breakfast drive to Tsomoriri Lake. Tso Moriri or Lake Moriri or "Mountain Lake", is a lake in the Changthang Plateau of Ladakh in India. The lake and surrounding area are protected as the Tso Moriri Wetland Conservation Reserve. The lake is at an altitude of 4,522 m. It is a breathtaking journey on a trail that is literally a ‘no mans’ land. Vast lonely stretches on the Chanthang plateau makes this drive one of the best isolated drives of this tour. Enroute visit the faraway settlement of Chusul. Tsomoriri is situated at an altitude of 4511m above sea level; with an area of about 140 Sq.km. Spend your evening watching shadows of the surrounding mountain and the varying depths of Tsomoriri lake.

Day 6 : TSOMORIRI-TSOKAR-TAGLANGLA-LEH

After breakfast retrace the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 mtrs) to visit Tsokar Lake, a salt lake system in the Rupsho plateau which is home of the Changa nomads and support many rare wild life species. The Tso Kar or Tsho kar is a fluctuating salt lake known for its size and depth situated in the Rupshu Plateau and valley in the southern part of Ladakh in India. It is also recognised as India's 42nd Ramsar site.and overnight stay in Leh.

Day 7 : LEH DEPARTURE

After breakfast transfer to the Leh airport to for your return flight.
